In reply to: [Redirection for Contact Form 7] urlencode?Cool. Thank you!
If you could add a destionation hint so the file can be manually checked if successfully uploaded, that would be great. Also I am curious how those uploads work if the website has no forms.
I can confirm this. I have backtrace files.
I will contact you over your forum now (we also run a licensed plus version)German laws are strict about not hiding “Imprint”
By German law the “Imprint” link, which is often placed in the footer, should be available and never be covered, a.f.a.i.k.
Why not adding a 2nd Link to “Imprint” so in case the banner covers something the link is still clickable?

In reply to: [Self-Hosted Google Fonts] Save optionsIssue still there but this bug has been reported already (duplicate)
I can confirm that the fix works here – thank you!!!!
I confirm that session_id() was the problem also in our case.
Thank you very much for the valuable information and the proposal for a fix.
I sent a note to dev team of our plugin to take care of fixing this.Same here – A multiform card session was not carried over properly any more and no orders arrived. The form uses GET and SESSIONS.
That started after the update and everything worked again after disabling the plugin.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Image Source Control Lite – Show Image Credits and Captions] WPMLHi Thomas, I try to find a project where we can test.
I expect problems when WPML media management is activated, then a mediafile has one database entry *per language* which is cool for translating image meta data but I believe it can be tedious for maintaining copyright info serveral times for the same image. Will look into it.
By the way, WPML offers great support for devs who plan to make their software compatible.
and also, the backup: mailing unencrypted databases can also be a problem.
added: From what I now about the new GDPR – there are problems if the plugin talks to external sources, like this network protection. Storing IP numbers temporarily for banning users trying a hacking would be covered by the rules (legitimate interests of the site owner). A storage in a blacklist over a long period of time can be problematic.
The worst is that simply running the “Security Check” tries to reactivate all this.
My suggestion (we are also asking whether this is still safe to use):
There should be a main switch “USE IN EU/COMPLY TO GDPR” which, when enabled, would be hiding and disabling all that (now) illegal stuff, so it cannot by simple mistake be reactivated and cause legal trouble.Thank you for pointing me to the other discussion. Great, a debugging is coming.
In my case the software does not recognize logged in editors and allows uploading for them. Very mysterious. (Admins never had problems, editors only.)- This reply was modified 9 years, 4 months ago by cebln.
