ThxHi Rob, I switched the settings back to German and did some more tests. The behaviour is as follows: The content will stay in German at the beginning. As soon as I click on translate, the plugin translates the website. When I open a new tab and call my blog once more or if I just reload my original blog side, the content will stay translated. I expected to get back the German side when I open it in a new window or reload the page. I have to explicitely press the German translation button after reloading the page. Well, this behaviour might works as designed.

thanks for the fast response! I changed the language in the plugin settings to English now (but my original language in the blog is actually German) and it stops automatically translating the blog – so my German content is kept which is good. However, now the translation doesn’t work at all – also when I click on the translate icons. At least this is true for the content of the pages. It seems that some navigation texts are translated (the panels that are english in the original blog since my theme doesn’t support German).I have the impression that the plugin has difficulties with blogs that do not have English as the original language.
