In reply to: [Captain Slider] Styling the captionHey! The caption is not intended to be any more than a line or two of plain text. You’re better off editing the slide image and adding the text onto the image itself using Photoshop or Gimp etc.

In reply to: [Captain Slider] Not working / breaks layoutHi! Not sure why you’re using next slider as that is for another plugin of mine. You need to use ctslider.
Cheers

In reply to: [Captain Slider] First Slide on top of everythingThanks for the IE7 tip, that’ll help a lot when I do a fix for it.
Yeah, I’ll have a proper look later. I have a new version coming out next week that may fix it, where I’m incorporating the ImagesLoaded plugin, so the slider only starts once all images have been loaded. That should probably fix it. Will let you know when the update is out. 🙂

In reply to: [Captain Slider] First Slide on top of everythingI’m really not sure regarding IE7 as the plugin just doesn’t support it. I would have a look and try find a fix for you, but I’m currently overseas and only have a Mac with me. I’ll try and do some testing in a week and see if I can come up with a fix. For now, I’ve opened up an issue on Github – so that it’s not forgotten about and so anyone else can create a fix for it.
I had a look and I think it may have to do with the banner plugin you have. Try using it outside of that and see if it works?
By the way, I love what you did with the new arrow buttons! It looks great.

In reply to: [Captain Slider] First Slide on top of everythingCould I please have the link to your site where this is happening?
It may be caused by another theme/plugin, so deactivate all plugins besides ‘Captain Slider’ and set your theme to be the default Twenty Ten/Eleven/Twelve theme. If it’s working after that, you can troubleshoot each plugin by activating them one by one to see which one is causing it.
Cheers!

In reply to: [Captain Slider] adding or uplaoding slidesDoes yours look like this? http://d.pr/i/ABJQ
If not, your theme isn’t supporting featured images.
To fix, add the following to the bottom of your functions.php file:
add_theme_support( 'post-thumbnails' );If you don’t have this file or it’s empty, create it (functions.php) and add a:
<?php
to the beginning of it before the code above.Let me know if that fixes it!

In reply to: [Captain Slider] adding or uplaoding slidesHey! You were very close. After you’ve uploaded, you want to click ‘set as featured image’ down the bottom, just like you would set a featured image for a normal post or page. Let me know if you’re still confused and I’ll make a screenshot for you.

In reply to: [Captain Slider] Remove Slider LinksHey Match,
Just don’t add any links and then the slides won’t link anywhere 🙂

In reply to: [Captain Slider] image paddingHey Bluebox!
You just need to add some CSS to your site. You can do this by editing your theme’s style.css file, creating a child theme and adding it in the style.css file there or by installing Jetpack and using the custom CSS page there.
The CSS you need to add is:
.flexslider { border: 0; }Cheers

In reply to: [Captain Slider] 1.0.6 updateHey Sfinkx! Could I get your website address so I can take a look?
Also, please try deleting the plugin and then installing it again, as there was a small time where the 1.0.6 update was broken, so you may have gotten it. Don’t worry, you won’t lose any slides or settings.
