Also, did you already have a chance to inquire about its compatibility with WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway, via its support channel/documentation, or otherwise?

There is no checkout when bidding, it’s simply that, bidding. I could have people purchase an item for .01$ to capture their card info but not sure if I would still be able to charge them for unpaid items that would be unrelated to that .01$ amount.
What I’m trying to do is weed out fraudulent users that would bid prices up and not pay.

Try the plugin out on a better basis, I loved the crap out of that one.
In terms of sticking it to the HOA man – that’s my boy. Maybe mention you could do it but for a price. See if anyone wants to jump on. Otherwise you could run some filters through a google sheets cascade. I’ve done that, just depends on what kind of data you’d be serving.

In reply to: Manage user logins to password protected pagesYou would give them a user name each. Then you could specify which pages that they can see. If you don’t want them to see a sight you don’t check it and it won’t even appear.
In terms of hitting the back end you get a plugin like Peters Login redirect and that fixes that problem. There are other redirects as well.
In terms of the Pro bono thing you’re combining two horrible things. HOAs and pro bono. You’re a better man / woman than I.

In reply to: Update gone wrongI’ve upgraded all my sites to the 7x and like it. Things work a lot more efficiently now, I’d recommend it.
Good luck with the hosts as well. Dreamhost, which is becoming more and more cumbersome always has some sort of cop out these days. I rarely use them for support and rather use my friends at another website.

I’m not too big a database junkie. I know there are a few places that I like to use on that side but not too many.

I find that Wpmus stuff is really nice for that among all of their other tools.
Check this out and see if it works. I once made a catalog, with different “categories” and that’s what I used. Taxonomies and custom post types.

In reply to: Manage user logins to password protected pagesI agree with @sterndata unless you want you want to get super complicated and run a multi-site and I would guess that you won’t be efficient with something like that at all in this case. It’s only a certain instance kind of thing, I spent a long time arguing about this before I went multisite (which doesn’t require passwords, just unique links). The issue there is updating everything at once. Either you have to get something that will do so in batches and hope or do it by hand which will take forever.
In any case, I have used the User Access Manager plugin for years and have loved it.

I’m not sure if it’s supported or not any more, I see that there have been a lot of topics left open but I still find it effective, or I did before I have that project away.

In reply to: Update gone wrongI’m just wondering here as I don’t have a solution but is it trying to find the blog header file? That’s what it seems like it wants. Again I don’t know, but moreso jumping on this thread to find the answer.
Question: Does your theme folder have a wp-blog-header.php file? Or is it missing?
I’ll just lurk here and wait to see what happens.
