problem solved – I didnt put enough folder names in the http://xxxx.com/wp-admin/install.php – needed to put both wordpress folders in… how simple when you work it out. Thanks esmi for your help though.
1.Download and unzip the WordPress package, if you haven’t already
I have done this and been over it 3 times – download – upzip and then modify file.
