Hi there,
Thank you for your quick reply!
It has me puzzled though, as apperantly the page indeed displays correctly when you open it.
However, in my case I get the following result with both Chrome and IE on 3 different computers and my phone:
Click hereWould it be possible that this is a (temporary?) local (Belgian?) issue caused by Google maps? Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

In reply to: [OceanWP] Is it possible to narrow down width of blog text?Hi Amit,
The code indeed works – however, on mobile devices now the posts also use only 70% of the screen width, which is a problem. Would it be possible to add something to the code you suggested to make sure that it only applies to computer monitors (lets say with a width of at least 1000 px or so?), not to tablets and mobile devices?
I also wonder if it would be possible to only narrow down the text part, not the entire white central column? Maybe that’s too much to ask, in that case I’m willing to make peace with bigger yellow stripes on computer monitors 🙂
Thanks again!

In reply to: [OceanWP] Is it possible to narrow down width of blog text?Hi Amit,
I would have expected this to work indeed, but I’m afraid it doesn’t. Let me show you by the following screenshots:
This is the current situation with ‘0’ entered in the ‘full width content’ box:
yellow bars and central white column are desired, but we aim to shorten the text lines. When I change the setting of the full width content box to for example 700, like this:
When I hit publish, than this is the result:
As you can see, the text indeed has narrowed down, but the yellow stripes have disappeared completely (and this happens no matter what value I enter in the ‘full width content’ box exept for ‘0’).
I really don’t understand what might be causing this?
FYI, I’m attaching the current ‘general settings’ we are using:
Thanks again for any assistance in this!
Kind regards,
Roel

In reply to: [OceanWP] Is it possible to narrow down width of blog text?Hi Amit,
Thanks for getting back to us!
However, I’m afraid the proposed solution doesn’t work (when I enter anything but ‘0’ in the content width box, the yellow background disappears). Maybe my original question was not clear enough?
We want to keep the yellow + white background as is. We only want to display the text in a more narrow column so the lines don’t become too long, so we aim to decrease the width of the text column without decreasing the central white column of the background.
Is this possible in a way which applies to all posts?
Kind regards,
Roel
