In reply to: Which directory should I put WordPress in?Basically, I want to do the same thing (except that I created a page in WP and set it to home in options etc). Therefore, if I want this home page in root, but want my blogs in a directory, which pages do I copy to root? I tried to copy index.php to root but then its blank. I am a little confused on how to invoke the front page in root and have the remainder in a directory etc. I would greatly appreciate if someone could clear this up.

However, I want to seperate the blog part from the static and conventional web part of my site. How do I tell WP to do this? Can I tell WP to point to the root for my home page and then put the blog section in a \blog directory? Thanks–
