  • In my case I believe the failure of the last step of the WP 4.4 upgrade on Godaddy/Plesk- which caused key tables not to be added to the mySQL database, was due to an ongoing “access rights” issues. This is the reason many staff at Godaddy repeatedly advise switching websites from Plesk/Windows to Linux.

    Hopefully the fix now provided by Plesk to Godaddy will solve this once and for all.

    My own question is will this be applied automatically to all shared servers. And will godaddy inform me when completed so I can try to upgrade again?

    Not sure if Godaddy need to apply fix to every PLESK server?

    I believe the DB Update failed. This was partially done at the end of the WP upgrade from 4.3 -> 4.4
    After this failed the new termmeta table was never written, I then got this error below

    Help. My 4.3 -> 4.4 update at Godaddy/Plesk failed (not sure why – access rights?). I now get WordPress database error Table ‘wesmith104_foun.L5fjV3F9_termmeta’ doesn’t exist for query SELECT term_id, meta_key, meta_value FROM L5fjV3F9_termmeta WHERE term_id IN (1) ORDER BY meta_id ASC made by require(‘G:\PleskVhosts\wesmith104.com\httpdocs\cattlepointfoundation\wp-blog-header.php’), require_once(‘G:\PleskVhosts\wesmith104.com\httpdocs\cattlepointfoundation\wp-includes\template-loader.php’), include(‘G:\PleskVhosts\wesmith104.com\httpdocs\cattlepointfoundation\wp-content\themes\themes\twentyfourteen\page.php’), get_sidebar, locate_template, load_template, require_once(‘G:\PleskVhosts\wesmith104.com\httpdocs\cattlepointfoundation\wp-content\themes\themes\twentyfourteen\sidebar.php’), dynamic_sidebar, call_user_func_array, WP_Widget->display_callback, WP_Widget_Categories->widget, wp_list_categories, get_categories, get_terms, update_termmeta_cache, update_meta_cache

    How do I start the upgrade.php process in httpdocs/cattlepointfoundation/wp-admin ? I have no idea how to start it.

    So I tried to reinstall from the admin panel – I now get the following

    Hi Xie : thank you for your rapid response. My 4.3 -> 4.4 update at Godaddy/Plesk failed (not sure why – some access rights issues on Plesk maybe). I now get WordPress database error Table ‘wesmith104_foun.L5fjV3F9_termmeta’ doesn’t exist for query SELECT term_id, meta_key, meta_value FROM L5fjV3F9_termmeta WHERE term_id IN (1) ORDER BY meta_id ASC made by require(‘G:\PleskVhosts\wesmith104.com\httpdocs\cattlepointfoundation\wp-blog-header.php’), require_once(‘G:\PleskVhosts\wesmith104.com\httpdocs\cattlepointfoundation\wp-includes\template-loader.php’), include(‘G:\PleskVhosts\wesmith104.com\httpdocs\cattlepointfoundation\wp-content\themes\themes\twentyfourteen\page.php’), get_sidebar, locate_template, load_template, require_once(‘G:\PleskVhosts\wesmith104.com\httpdocs\cattlepointfoundation\wp-content\themes\themes\twentyfourteen\sidebar.php’), dynamic_sidebar, call_user_func_array, WP_Widget->display_callback, WP_Widget_Categories->widget, wp_list_categories, get_categories, get_terms, update_termmeta_cache, update_meta_cache

    Please could you help. Godaddy expert level support has no idea how to add the missing “termmeta” table. I have no SQL expertise but could perhaps run a SQL command in phpAdmin

    Your post would be much easier to follow for someone like me NOT skilled in mySQL if I could simply paste the whole thing into Notepad; add my own database prefix “wesmith104_foun.L5fjV3F9” and the execute was all I needed to do.

    I believe this is going to be a serious issue for Godaddy. And anyone upgrading from WP4.3 -> 4.4

    Just installed seamlessly. But after captcha all set up and working, I submitted a form ( at http://selfiecontest2015.wesmith104.com/wordpress/?page_id=60 ) it just hung then I realized there WAS an error message :

    Sorry, there has been a problem and your message was not sent.

    also no way to attach an image?

    HELP

    I get same error. If I uninstall and redownload I assume new version has this fixed. But will my old doc library still be there and connected after reinstall?

    Emilio : I am on Gadaddy/Plesk
    Getting this error (500) : PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare preview_theme() (previously declared in G:\PleskVhosts\wesmith104.com\httpdocs\cattlepointfoundation\wp-includes\theme.php:650) in G:\PleskVhosts\wesmith104.com\httpdocs\cattlepointfoundation\wp-includes\deprecated.php on line 3507

    I tried to refresh the WordPress installation – uses Godaddy wordpress installations/refresh . But no go. I have disabled to plugins and switch Template – still getting same error.

    I tried to follow YOUR instructions but it is unclear how to reinstall from within Godaddy.

    You write – Replacing with the latest wordpress files helped. it is the automatic update setting caused the issue. Now my site is back. Thanks.

    Detailed guidance appreciated. I spent 60 minutes with godaddy website hosting support, but after trying everything they said I should reinstall.

    Have you had any success with this mlm plugin?

    Godaddy said the PHP cURL clue indicated it could be because I have a Windows Server not a Linux. I might move everything over to a new Linux server when I get back in 2 weeks.

    Hi Danny : After the user enters their email address, and then clicks on “Sign Up” they get this 405 error.

    405- http verb used to access this page is not allowed. The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because an invalid method (HTTP verb) was used to attempt access.

    Help appreciated. The site is at godaddy
