    The plugin has a code which will periodically check the tables created by aiowps and it will cleanup any table which has more than 5000 rows,…

    5000 rows would be no problem, the problem is: all the file information (thousands-of files!) is stored in one single row. and this single row is getting so big, that database backups start silently failing.

    i do not see how mentioned cleanup process could help in this case.

    is there a notification when the database backup fails?

    i am using automysqlbackup and get notifications by email in case of a failing backup, maybe users just do not notice when their database backup fails? i never got a warning of failing db backups within aiowps/wordpress. the dangerous thing is, that at the beginning, when you set it up, everything may work nicely all the time until you reach the limit, and then backups will silently fail.

    i just updated the plugin and noticed that sorting by email works now,
    this is great!

    i think you already know that sorting by name is still not possible.

    i took a quick look into the code and noticed that the client requests orderby=firstname but in includes/admin/class-es-subscribers-table.php in line #439 there is: $expected_order_by_values = array( 'name', 'email', 'created_at' );

    i changed it to $expected_order_by_values = array( 'first_name', 'email', 'created_at' ); and “voila!” sorting now works on the first_name 🙂

    yes there are 14 backups in blogid_1, but i am 100% sure that these are the backups i did manually by hitting the button “Create DB Backup now”. just have a look at the file dates, they do not follow any rule.

    in blogid_1, as in all other blogs i have set to do a automatic backup every 2 days, and keep 14 Files.

    maybe the “keep files for 14 days” mechanism works, but i have never seen any automatic backup happen.

    is this also a multisite installation?

    this is a self hosted installation.

    no i can not try to disable all other plugins.

    as i have regular database backup (automysqlbackup) this is not a top priority feature, it would just be nice to have…

    i you are sure it is just a problem on my side, just ignore it, thanks for looking into the issue!

    Yes, i still cannot find any backups, except the manually ones.

    But something changed in the logs, now it contains this, no mentioning of Backups at all:

    thank you for your quick reply, you are absolutely right, it had nothing to do with the theme.

    the reason was a filter which i added to my childthemes function.php to open authors links in a new window. after removing that part everything is fine again!

    sorry for wasting your time, and thanks alot for pointing me to the right direction!
