Hi,

Thanks for the interest in our plugins.

We have categories built into core like this.

The plugin does create a Category View for each Event Category with the main views of month, list, map, etc…

For example if you have an event category of Lettuce the url is this:

yoursite.com/events/category/lettuce/

So that is one way to show only events from one category in the main views and you can link directly to any of those.

As for filtering.

The Filter Bar can enable a category filter, but does not have a city filter.

Sorry for the issues you are having.

My first thought is do you have wp-admin blocked off as that might cause this.

If not.

Can you please follow our testing for conflicts guide:

https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

And see if that can narrow down the cause of this.

It sounds like it could be a server permission error.

Are you able to contact your host and see if they can help with the permissions?

Also, do images or other files upload?

Thanks for trying out our plugin and sorry for the late reply.

The performance of the plugin depends on caching, coding, and the server.

Besides our caching do you have a plugin such as WP Super Cache installed?

And what about your hosting, is it dedicated hosting or shared?

We do not have any sharing features to support, it could be possible to add the sharing buttons with another plugin.

JetPack might be a good place to start.

Hi,

I went to your site and could not see it with that link.

That issue is using an older function that is now replaced with a new one.

Please update that function and it will go away.

Or you can turn of WordPress Debug too.

Hi,

Sorry for the issues here.

We have a bug where imported events do not show in the nav links there.

We have a fix for it and it should be out in 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 at the latest.

4.0.1 is scheduled to be out this week if it passes QA.
