In reply to: How do I find and remove a virusThank you, that explains why my day job company network will not let the website open and displays the “dangerous site” warning. What is the best way to find the malicious iframe code?
Can I ftp the site to my desktop and run a virus software? Should I search for a text string with ‘iframe’.
I appreciate your help.

Thanks.

In reply to: How do I find and remove a virusI read all of the instructions on http://www.malwareremoval.com and it appears that they will check and repair my home desktop computor. But, I have antivir antivirus software on my home computer and it runs automatically every night. I may be misunderstanding something, but it seems to me that the infected files are on my host’s server either in the wordpress installation or in the mySql server installation. What steps should I take to clean the host server files? Thank you.

In reply to: New to CMS, not sure what to expect of WordPressIt sounds like WordPress will be perfect for your application. There are many themes to choose from and that will be the important first step. Check out the “showcase” of themes to get some ideas. Find a theme that has the look and features that you want and you’re on your way. Good luck.

In reply to: Permalink problem on 4 websites at the same timeI told the technical rep at the hosting company that it HAD to be them, because the only thing in common with all 4 sites is their mySql server. I was frustrated, because he just repeated over and over again that there was nothing wrong with the mySql server. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t the nut. Thanks.

In reply to: oops! i think i deleted my siteI agree with iridiax. I did some format changes today on index.php, home.php and styles.css. The first thing I did was create a folder and named it ‘revised files’ and put the files I’m working on in it. I take this extra step to prevent a mixup. I’ve gotten my original files mixed up with the modified files working late at night so I take the extra step to keep the modified files separated from the original files. Good luck!

In reply to: Need CSS Help – Resizing sidebars and text area@theartist – first, I’m not an expert, but I looked at your site. It appears that the Google add block in the sidebar is the problem. I fix things with trial and error and I would delete that first. It’s easy enough to re-install later.
Why are you using div tags for every paragraph in your posts?
