In reply to: Restoration Life Church, Tallahassee, FLGreat looking site. Check out fiverr.com They do all types of freelance work for just 5 bucks. Your ministry team could benefit from those services without the expense of a major marketing or design team.
I really like the startup video but in my opinion it is too long for a welcome video to your site.
In your “slider” panel where you have sliding graphics adding a welcome video there would be more effective. What I found odd was when I loaded the page I immediately heard a welcome message that I had to scroll down to find. I wasn’t sure if it was audio and then was surprised to find out it as a video which morphed into a testimonial video that eventually got long winded.
I would stick to welcome messages on the homepage and allow the visitor. I love the video content you all have. I would imagine your members are very engaged, especially the youth.
A “Give” or “Giving” page would be more effective than just a paypal button. You can find a “donate” button on google images and just link that to your paypal page opposed to the buttons paypal provides.
Here’s an example: http://www.ekklesiacogic.org/giving/
Keep up the good work. Your church looks like a great place to worship!

In reply to: Need Suggestions for ImprovementsOkay at first glance, your site looks great. Clean, easy on the eye, overall a good first impression.
After being there for a good minute or so I do wonder something, what the heck is the site about. Now I know that we are supposed to click the “about” button but honestly I don’t ever click about on Ebay, Amazon, etc….so how would the average person find your site and know how to interract with it.
I’d say that visually you have nothing to worry about but considering the amount of pages this site has you’ve invested a great deal of time on it so…what’s the theme. Why should I stick around?
Getting to my suggestion..after stepping back and reading the “title” of your page I finally get it, “photography inspirations……”
Take this into consideration..with the average user having several “tabs” open in their browers the most they see is the title is the name of the company and that’s it.
I would incorporate your slogan into the box where the logo is and immediately jump into a “conversation” with your visitor. Also, I’d remove whatever feature or plugin that is that makes your pictures zoom in. It’s pointless and I’m sure affecting load times.
