The plugin generates meta descriptions for category pages from each category’s description. You can change the descriptions under Posts -> Categories in WordPress’s admin interface.
I found an extra closing list item tag on line 451 of functions.php in the custom_comments function. When I removed it, pages with comments validate as valid XHTML.
