For some reason, it is taking the main (for the homepage) desc. and then adding on top of that the individual posts, being more than 250.
How do I get it only the posts, and then only/less than 250

I have the same template running on a test site which is

it works fine, so I have uploaded the template over, and re activated it, and I still get the same thing.
