In reply to: Custom_Image_Header – Can you modify for multiple Images?WordPress Software > Joomla Software
But I just dont understand why the WordPress community is so much worse. When I used Joomla I NEVER had a question unanswered, but I fell like I never get even a “yes” or “no” from the WordPress community….

In reply to: The Friendly Niche Theme ReleasedI have had some reports of the theme breaking in FF. I have not been able to replicate the problem. I have tried to break it with my own configuration to no avail.
If you experience any problems with the theme please let me know. Please be as descriptive as possible, I want to get this issue fixed!
-The browser you are using. It would also be helpful if you can view it in more than 1 browser so I can know if it is directly related to a certain browser or if it is due to some WordPress configuration.
-Screen Resolution
-Operating System
-Wordpress Version
-Any plugins that might affect the themeThanks!

In reply to: Help with options pageI figured it out. It requires copying and editing the custom-header.php and theme.php files. If you change about 10 different variables you can actually create an entirely new image-upload option.
This works for if you want to have multiple images that can be changed in the options menu.
Copy the files, edit them, save them together in a new file, include it in the functions.php and your good to go!
I am going to write up a lengthy article on what I did.
(For my first time playing with PHP I think I did pretty good!!)

In reply to: Help with options pageAfter a couple of days of searching I found a very old post (2007) on the Custom Header WordPress API.
Anyone know if this is still the best way to achieve the proper results? Also, will this work to add multiple images to different areas of a theme?

In reply to: Help with options pageI know this is an older post but does anyone have a solution for this? I am trying to accomplish the same thing, sort of like adding a custom header image to the options page.
Thanks!

In reply to: Almost there – My first public theme “Friendly Skeleton Theme”Thanks for the comments.
I have completed the following:
-Deleted the border around the menu
-Widened the sidebars
-Added padding to the sidebar listsWhat do you all think?

In reply to: Almost there – My first public theme “Friendly Skeleton Theme”I have been thinking about adding a “theme switcher” to this theme but have decided against it.
I am very hesitant to add more to the functions.php and to add multiple css files to the theme. This goes against my original concept which is to have a very bare bones template for “themeing”.
I am going to play around with the concept for another theme. Thanks for the idea!

In reply to: Almost there – My first public theme “Friendly Skeleton Theme”Thanks for the reply.
The point of this theme is for easy customization. I am offering it free for distribution, editing and even for people to eventually use for their own custom and premium themes.
I like the skins idea. I might work on a few just to show the power of the theme with just using CSS.
I will eventually use this theme as a skeleton for other themes I will be releasing in the future.
