In reply to: Upgraded to WP 3.1 – comment problemYeah… that must be it. 🙁
It was a theme I worked on from scratch. It’s not going to be fun to try and find out what the culprit in it is. But thanks so much for your suggestions!

In reply to: Upgraded to WP 3.1 – comment problemHmm, tried posting a comment with all my plug-ins deactivated. Got the same error message. Out of interest, I hit “refresh”. I got the following error page:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator to inform of the time the error occurred and of anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
I’ll try the suggestion of switching to the other theme.

In reply to: Smilies Themer compatible with WP 2.7?Does anyone know if it’s working with WP 2.8?

In reply to: Comments not readable/writable in password-protected postStill haven’t solved the mystery…
Has anyone come across a similar problem?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Comments not readable/writable in password-protected postSo…it seems as though others (who have the protected post password) can read and comment, but I can neither read or add comments to my post. How odd!
Anyone?

In reply to: nested comment plug-in for 2.0.4?Truth – the Dodo threaded comment hack works great. Not overly easy to install (it’s not just a plug-in but requires quite a bit of code ‘hacking’) but hey it’s working! Yeehaw! Thanks again. 🙂

In reply to: nested comment plug-in for 2.0.4?Hey vkaryl! 🙂 Yes, I’ve looked through the plug-in pages and the only one I found was that one for vs. 1.5.
But I’ll take a look at Truth’s Dodo link. Thanks guys!

In reply to: narchives.php – WP database errorSure… 🙂

In reply to: narchives.php – WP database errorHmm…I don’t see it in my plug-ins folder. I remember using it with my version 1.5 (I can’t remember where I downloaded it but it wasn’t a plugin, I don’t think) and it worked great. Didn’t come with WP, you’re right. But for some reason it’s not compatible with 2.0.4
While we’re on plugins, I’ve heard lots of good things about srg_clean_archives plug-in. So I thought I’d try it instead of narchives.php.
So I’ve downloaded it, but can’t seem to get it to work either. I’m so confused when it comes to this archiving business. Gak!
I’m just looking for a nice archive setup that’s easy to work with and somewhat easy to customize.
Can you help me with this?

In reply to: narchives.php – WP database errorHi vkaryl. 🙂 Nice to see you again!
I’ve been okay, despite some hard times lately.I wasn’t aware that narchives.php was a plugin. 🙁

In reply to: Asterisks italicizing textAlrighty. Deactivated the Markdown plugin and that seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for your help, both of you. 🙂

In reply to: Asterisks italicizing textHi Moshu, yes the Markdown plugin IS active. If I deactivate it, will it change this? And will it change anything else?
Vkaryl, I will check what you’ve asked….

In reply to: Asterisks italicizing textHi again, vkaryl. 🙂
The reason why I’m using iso-8859-1, instead of the more versatile UTF-8, is that when I imported my Greymatter files in charset UTF-8, I got all sorts of weird characters in my posts. So I had to change it to iso-8859-1, which seemed to solve the problem.
(Not using any WSIWYG or anything else, btw.)
