I solved the problem by reinstalling the previous version, backing up the database, then updating the regular way. Works fine now.
Thanks Ierizzle, but it doesn’t do it for the main blog, only the subsidiary ones. There seems to be no way of getting into the main one.
If you don’t have a dedicated server you need to use the folder not the subdomain install. The server handles everything automatically. Also, make sure you’re not installing from a subfolder. If you have only one domain unpack it to the html folder.
If your running off a secondary domain then put the wordpress folder in the html folder and rename it with your domain name w/o .com
Thanks Andrea, I’ll try there. But BP also precludes WP registration. Even when profile synch is disabled. Is there some way around using Buddy Press for a forum that works with WPMU 3.0?
