solved my problem – I’m up and running on Server2003, MySQL 4.1.10a, php 4.3.1, IIS6!
OK, I’ve done the registery hack for CGI, verified CL login works for MySQL, granted write access to the php uploadtmp and session directories, etc. Still no luck getting install.php to execute without telling me lies about my id and password for MySQL 🙂
I have not followed http://faq.wordpress.net/view.php?p=68 – it doesn’t *flow* for me.
