Interestingly if I log in using the original username and password and setup a new administrator account and then put the code back in, I can log in with the NEW username with no problem. So the question is – does there need to be a single-site administrator AND a multi-site administrator?
Hi – yes I put that in. Then logged in, went to network, followed the instructions and as soon as the above code went in, could not re-log back in. Take the code out and I can log in again.
Puzzling – I have obviously missed something 🙁
