Thanks for your response @corrinarusso. I already did that bit – the theme and content were exported from WordPress.com and imported to WordPress.org successfully.
The site is looking ok, it just has the wrong colours and fonts now!
It’s only changing the colours and fonts via Additional CSS that I need help with.
