I like it – the theme matches the content of the site very well. Your header is a bit narrow, though – it tends to get a bit lost. It’s hard for me to notice the links there and the site description.

The colours work ok for me, but I agree with christykny – the site is too busy. I’m not much of a fan of 3 column layouts that squeeze the content column. Consider moving the content in the 2nd column somewhere else in the layout and going to a two column format, and increase the width of the content column (a lot). Yeah, and I agree that the header is too big – try to shorten it by about 25%.
Also, within the content, there’s not much that visually separates the posts – I had a hard time scanning to find a post that I wanted to click through on. Put some more whitespace between the posts, or use some other separator.
The content on the site is way cool – you’ve obviously put a lot of work into it!
