Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Impossible to update from dashboardwell, it is 755 on directories, and mostly 640 on the files, witch is the same I have on another website on the same host (domeneshop.no). So therefor I don’t believe in changing from 640 to 644, why working there and not here? And there’s a lot of files to change!
The site was originally developed locally on my pc (ampps) – installed with Duplicator. After a week or two the host (domeneshop.no) closed the site, saying there was a security hole and claiming that files were compromised/infected. Then I did a job with cleaning up, deleting infected files and copying originally files from my local pc, deleting all not-active themes and plugins, changing all passwords for users, and more…
The reinstall was done by deleting all of the in-use-plugins-and theme- directories, then updating them locally, where such thing works normally, and then uploading them from my local pc to the site (filezilla).
Then the host was satisfied and opened the site again. But as said, updating and installing buttons does not show up, I cant install or update themes or plugins from within the control-panel.

In reply to: [WordPress Access Control] Redirect goes to admin section instead of pageI have exactly the same problem, but you did set the ‘WordPress publishing setting to Public, where can I find that setting? My settings for the plugin are all Public, still it does not work for me. I’m new to this stuff and is searching for information… How did you come out? WP- version is 3.8.3, WordPress Access Control version is 4.0.8.
