This was temporarily fixed/bypassed by increasing the memory limit via php.ini parameters. A better and more permanent (hopefully) solution in my case is to upgrade my hosting package.
Yes, it’s 2.4.3. This has been reported to Elegant Themes, but I’m hoping that the Nextgen folks have seen something like this that has a simple solution.
Can you elaborate on which part of this will be corrected?
The issue with replacing an existing image with a new one is determining where the existing image is referenced. A “where used” feature would be the ticket.
As clarification, there are a few images that are currently referenced with Singlepic and/or Featured Images. I want to re-edit those images with Photoshop, and then update them without losing their current image ID. I don’t see an option that allows me to do that. Are you saying the correlation/matching happens automatically based on the name of the image?
I initially reported this issue to Nextgen Pro Support on 3/27. Any progress on a fix?
Thanks!

In reply to: You do not have permission to preview draftsThis was reported to the folks at Nextgen 2 days ago. I was hoping that the problem description provided enough clues for some WordPress guru to say “oh yea, we’ve seen this before…just do xyz” to fix it.

In reply to: [Redirection] Smartphone RedirectionThis is weird, but a fix (?) is to remove the trailing “/” from the URL that needs to be redirected.
/gallery/weddings/ <— Not recognized by an iPhone
/gallery/weddings <— Remove trailing slash – iPhone & desktop is okayI believe there’s a way to eliminate trailing slashes in WordPress, but would changing it create havoc with search engines and sitemaps?
Enabled debug mode, and this is all I got:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
I also enabled WP_DEBUG_LOG, but the error didn’t cause a debug.log file to be created.
Just downloaded & installed SEO Pressor at 3:30PM EST on 1/22/15, and got the exact same error message when trying to activate the plugin. WP 4.1 using Divi theme from Elegant Themes.
The ID doesn’t change when the page is loaded. It’s when the page containing the gallery is edited in WP-Admin and then saved/updated. This happens EVEN when the edit has NOTHING to do with the Nextgen Gallery.
That’s really inconvenient, and it seems rather senseless to change the ID if nothing about the gallery has changed. What’s the purpose of changing the ID? Is it changed by the Nextgen Plugin?
