After posting this topic, I updated WordPress, and now things are working.

I did not remember that I had to put the proposed new gallery name in the field to the left of the “Make New Gallery” that says “+ New Gallery Name”
to activate the Make New Gallery Button. I was thinking that the “+ New Gallery Name” was to rename a Gallery.Forum: Plugins

I upgraded to WordPress 4.0.
So far the only problem I have is
on page=catablog-gallery
the “Make New Gallery” tab is grey and seems disabled.
