by the way, i discovered a way to rename the admin-slug:
goodbye-wp-admin (plugin)
follow instructions.
if you get error message after:
go to wp-config.php
make sure the first line is NOT empty, make sure the opening tag <?php is the FIRST (top, left) letters that are in the script.
NO space, NO empty line before opening tag <?php allowed, or script will crash.
logged in users will see http://www.yoursite.com/admin-panel instead of http://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin
YOU as super admin will still see wp-admin
be careful, compatibility issue with plugin “rename-wp-login .php”
be careful, dashboard of users will redirect to error message, can be worked around with custom menu linking directly to “posts” / “manage comments” / etc.
if you need further help, ask.
by the way: did YOUR IThemes plugin RENAME the wp-admin slug, or are you (like me ) just able to rename the wp-login-slug?bye,

In reply to: [Good Bye wp-admin] plugin not working?found problem, it is in wp-config.php.
first line, opening <?php MUST be first (top-left) letter.
NO space allowed, if there is space or empty line BEFORE <?php opening the script will crash.
for the rest, i posted a new post: compatibility problem with “rename wp-login.php” plugin.
thanks and bye

In reply to: [WordPress All In One Admin Bar] Error messagehi
you are awesome and one of the feww plugin authors that care s about support.
i appreciate this and thats why i will ask you something hoers that is not 100% related to your plugin but since it is a admin-customize plugin maybe you can help me out of this.i want to change the wp-admin URL into something glide …/dashboard (example).
to explain:
a user logs in to his MU account (buddy press) and builds a own site, then he moves to the “edit site” area, and he will see a URL like http://www.mysite.com/user/wp-admin
i want this URL to be http://www.mysite.com/user/dashboard!!!!!!do you know how to do this?
thank you for awesome suppert of your plugin, great work!!!!!

hi
i have been having the same problem,
and no solution is coming neither from IThemes security support nor form wp-support.
IThemes security only lets me change the wp-login slug, which is a pretty simple thing with other plugins too.
it seems wp-admin is not changeable at all, unless you rename the entire wp-files manually, and forget about updates and plugins unless you rename them as well.
pretty poor from WP though, as it is not only a esthetic fault, but also a big security lack.
will let you know if i find a appropriate solution.
just to let you know that much:
i tried every permalink-setting, and it does not make any changes to the IThemes security settings. (regarding wp-login slug)
but it worked best with permalinks set to “post name”.
it will only change the wp-login slug though, still publish wp-admin once logged in.
horrible, i know.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [WordPress All In One Admin Bar] Error messagehi
just to let you know:
this action is causing the error message:
Add New Custom Menu Root
in section “custom menu”.
after adding a new custom menu i get the error messages posted above.so, then i tried option 1,2 and 3.
option 1 all ok, but once i want to set personal menus, i get the error messages again.option 2 does work, but after changing the third line (311)
i get following error and site crashes completely:“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PRIVATE in /home/”xxxx”/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-all-in-one-admin-bar/public/includes/class-wordpress-all-in-one-adminbar-customizer.php on line 335”
option 3 doesn’t help at all, site crashes.
thank you.

In reply to: [WordPress All In One Admin Bar] Error messagethank you, first option worked fine.
can i ask what you mean with :
“I guess you enabled debug mode. This warning message is not related to show/hide thing.
But try this:”does it mean tose error messages only show up in my admin interface with certain “debug settings” enabled?
does it mean it is not a serious “error”?
would everything work fine if i wouldn’t reinstall etc?
thank you for the great plugin….
by the way:
is there any chance to remove the menu icons on the left side of admin panel bar, when drop down menu of “my sites” is open, on left side of the sites-name there is a WP-icon, would love to remove/chage that, but wasn’t able to do so….
for the rest very great plugin…
thank youForum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: no themes availablehi
the problem was a plugin-compatibility issue.
solved by deleting the plugin “installer”
thanks

In reply to: [Multisite Cloner] Fatal error after plugin installyes, that is the plugin. honestly i think it is a useless plugin, as it does not really help to personalize the wp interface, but makes it easier to install and update plugins….
thank you!

In reply to: [Multisite Cloner] Fatal error after plugin installhi.
sorry for te late replay.
it is definitely a conflict with “installer”.
i deleted both and re-installed one by one.
multisite cloner works fine, till installer is installed.
thank you,

In reply to: Custom "home" pageHI
Thank you for the fast answer.
I have a last question:
as i explain above:
i do already have changed the LOGIN page, as when http://www.yoonect.com is entered in the browser, every NOT logged in visitor is Redirected to a custom login page (made with Theme My Login Plugin), with URL http://www.yoonect.com/login.
so:
after logging in, the user automatically is directed to the “home” page http://www.yoonect.com
this is the page i need to have a personal look.
i can not find this page in the “all pages” section in WP admin interface, in order to edit it.
(there only show up the pages with following URL : http://www.yoonect.com/”my pages”… etc)
do i need to set up a custom page in order to edit it and set that page as a static front page, or is there a possibility to edit the page with the URL http://www.yoonect.com (home) ?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Multisite Cloner] Fatal error after plugin installHI!
grate!
it was “installer” plugin.
wondering why, since i have this plugin running since months and never got troubles, until today.
maybe compatibility problems with “multisite cloner”?
((i don’t see the reason of but i am not very good in those things π )
anyway thanks for the unusual fast help,
and thank you for the grate plugin, will give a rate π
