Thanks HS, but the thing is, without the activation emails we aren’t allowed IN THERE to ask the questions!!
Me, I’ve decided against WordPress now. Too hard to get into. Pretty pathetic software if 8 hours after sign up it still hasn’t manage to send an automated activation email!!!
It is pretty Kafka-esque, isn’t it?
This “ooooh, get you! Go back to dotcom, kid !”
and “go try wordpress.com” is pretty Useless Advice, because without that activation email you can’t get into the dotcom site to ask anyone.
And if you google “wordpress support forum”, you get this one. Newbies to WP like me don’t know these tremendous and clearly precious niceties you dotorg guys cite.
Some actual help would be nice.
This is my problem too – but I can’t use .com forums, because as there has been no activaton email the site won’t let me in to ask the question! It tells me my name is allocated, but doesn’t recognise the password I used.
