Intalling v22.8 over v22.6 did not do the trick. Removing it and reinstalling from scratch did. Retried installing 22.6 on another WordPress on the same server (different domain) and recreated the crash. Then removed 22.6 and installed 22.8 on the previous version from backup and voila, no problems.
GOOD news!!! Just make sure to have the blogolife-link not Error 404 as it is now. I couldn’t agree more, I like that theme a lot, which caused the “panic” being afraid to have to search for something new…
