I was on the phone with GoDaddy for about 2 hours and they could not fix the issue. He got rid of me by saying he had refreshed the IP and it should all be fine in 20 minutes. It’s not – I still have exactly the same problem. The man tried, but I could tell he did not have a clue how to help me. I am paying a lot of money to GoDaddy, so this is definitely disappointing. He tried to blame the problem the problem on WordPress. I said this puts me in a difficult position – WordPress says it’s a host issue, the host says it’s a WordPress issue – and I am stuck in the middle, and my online business will go out of business if I cannot load images. And right before Christmas, too – what a time to stop posting!
He also told me to download an FTP program and start using that. I said fine, but my point is, how can my site work just fine for 5 years on GoDaddy, and then one day it stops working, and somehow this is my problem and I have to fix it?? I am baffled and despairing. How hard is it to change hosts? Does anyone know of a host company that can actually help in these situations?
