• Hi there,

We’ve heard back from the developers on this and at the moment, there isn’t a way to update the styling of the Stripe fields when the new checkout experience is enabled.

The way styling works with the new checkout experience (UPE), is quite different. It tries to extract the styling from existing fields on the page, and pass this information to Stripe to render the fields. That’s why it “adapts” to the current theme.

Thanks for letting us know that you’d like to style these fields in addition to the styles extracted from the existing fields on the page. There is an open GitHub issue for this and you can follow along on the progress made at the link below.

    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/issues/2514

For the time being, if you need to adjust the styles of the fields, you can disable the new checkout experience and use the details outlined in the Styling credit card fields documentation.

If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask.

    Hi there,

Thanks for clarifying what you’re wanting to achieve here. The appearance API won’t work here since you’re using the new updated checkout experience.

I ran some tests on my end and I’m also not able to modify the styles of the fields when using the updated checkout experience. I can see that the styles for these fields are being pulled from the theme and are generated that way. However, editing and changing those styles is proving to be quite difficult. I’ve gone ahead and reached out to the developers to see if they have some insight into how we can go about this since it isn’t outlined in the documentation.

If you decide you want to disable the updated checkout experience, then we do have a great guide on how to style the credit card fields. I can confirm that these methods do work which makes it a good alternative for the time being.

Once we hear back from the developers, we’ll pass along any details they have.

    Hi there @nipinuk,

I’m so sorry your issue with the Square plugin is still unresolved. I can see that my colleague has responded to you in the ticket you’ve submitted with some next steps for us to investigate what’s going on with your site. Can you confirm that you’ve received that response?

I understand that you’ve already switched to another plugin and I’m happy that it’s working well for you so far. We’d love to continue troubleshooting the square issues with you if you’re interested. This may require setting up a staging environment for us to investigate on so we don’t disrupt the live site. Can you please let us know in your response to the ticket if you’d like us to continue troubleshooting?

We look forward to hearing back from you.

    Hi there,

Thanks for providing your site’s system status report and the error logs.

After investigating this further, we were able to replicate this issue on our end as well. We’ve identified this as a bug and have brought this to the attention of the development team. We don’t have a timeframe for a fix just yet but we’ll update you as soon as we know more.

    Thanks for your continued patience.

    Hey @bapestars,

i found a font i liked from the link you provided. It’s the one called “Italianno”
….but i’m confused as to how i go about adding a font….

In order to set custom fonts from Google Fonts, you can click the “Select this style” next to the font weight on the page. See screenshot -> https://d.pr/i/Ct4rn4

Then you can follow the instructions in the sidebar that shows up to add the
to the head of your website, and the CSS to your theme or customizer. See screenshot -> https://d.pr/i/aebwJq

If you’re not sure how to do this, you can reach out to the theme developer for the theme you are using. And if you’re using Storefront, then go ahead and post on the Storefront forums and you’re sure to get the help you need.

    Hope this helps!
