In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Table width on data-heavy tableSuccess!
I created a separate header-home.php file so the flexslider code only appears on that page. I probably should have done this before.
Thank you. This remains one of the best supported plugins I’ve ever used.
On a related note – in the back end of TablePress, that particular table struggles to load which makes it very difficult to edit.
I suspect this simply because it has so many entries. Is there anything you can suggest that would resolve this?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Error message pop upI certainly will do.

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Error message pop upThat would be me!
I’ve tracked down the problem. My custom post types were picking up the default footer in addition to their own personal footers. So working through that has tidied up another item on my snagging list in addition to the TablePress problem.
Thank you so much for your time on this. I really appreciate it. I shall certainly suggest to my client that they may like to show their appreciation. π
You’re a genius. And a very patient one.

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Error message pop upAah, I see what you mean now. How odd. I need to figure out where that has come from.
I can see the extra footer is also pushing the placement of the “real” footer.I just have to track down where that’s coming from …

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Error message pop upHi, Tobias,
All my footers, including that in use on the page in question have only one instance of
wp_footer();.Can you see something in my theme that I haven’t, or is this just what usually causes this problem?
If it makes any difference, I’ve also had this problem occur on a page (now defunct) with multiple tables, but only one error message.
Thank you. I finally tracked down the problem to an unclosed div at the end of the archive template.
It was good to know I was at least on the right lines.
I’m going through the rest of the validation errors now to tidy up.
By the way – I’m puzzled by the validation errors on coding comments. Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong? It
Thank you, I’m aware there are validation issues.
Is the answer to my question somewhere in the validation or is this an aside to the original question?
I have looked at the validation already but it’s not helping me to find a solution to this specific problem. If the answer is there, is there any chance you could you walk me through it? I’ve been looking for a solution for days.
I should add – I also have a local version of the site that works just fine.
I’ve tried copying and pasting the code from the local site templates into the live site templates without success.Forum: Plugins
