  • My previous comment was deleted because I had done the same thing DanielSmedegaardBuss did (that opening word) in trying to raise more attention to this issue, which appears to remain unresolved.

I also was told “posting in an old thread wasn’t a way to get help.”

Not sure how this is considered an “old thread” when the previous person posted only 6 days ago–and the issue remains unresolved.

But that was all they said–no actual help! I’m really, really surprised this is the way requests for help/posts are treated on the WP forum by WP staff. If I had said something rude, I could understand, but I didn’t. Same tenor as anybody else above’s post.

UPDATE: Now I’m getting a completely scrambled design (although up-to-date contents on the root domain–but I can no longer log in there, nor can I get into the admin from Yahoo. That’s all “404” and the url comes up with a re-direct of:

    http://highbridgecompany.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fhighbridgecompany.com%2Fblog%2Fwp-admin%2Foptions-general.php%3Fupdated%3Dtrue&reauth=1

    At a complete loss.

I’ve still got a malicious user/author showing up in the list of possible “authors.” Where do I find the “user” file itself to delete?

This is the malicious attack where the user is HIDDEN from the user list–so I can’t just delete from there. And I’m not an experienced MySQL user–and I’m guessing I have to find it in some file there–so please be as precise (step-by-step, handhold instructions) as you can?

    MANY thanks,

I have no sucess with the default theme, either. Blogroll doesn’t show.

I did just find another plugin, “Better Blogroll” which was definitely compatible. That DID activate, but even after dragging to the sidebar, the blogroll still did not show.

I’ve also been trying the Cutline website for answers in their posts, but the one answer I found having to do with a typo in the functions.php doesn’t apply, as I don’t have that error in my file (they had already fixed the theme download).

Any other ideas as to why sidebars not updating / selected widgets not showing.

(PS. One of the plugins wasn’t compatible–so perhaps that answers that–but main blogroll not displaying issue still remains for me.)

This is all very interesting, but I’m just trying to connect via Yahoo–they’re supposed to be managing all of this server business–and I’m getting the same exact error message as these folks with access to the server running the show.

Why would I be getting this error? And I was connected and working fine, setting up the site–when hey presto, I get this error message.
