Forum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: CSS not showing on localhost version of siteThanks @ashfame. I’ve just had a look in some of the files and a lot of the URLs begin with
/wp-content/themes/ . . .. For example:<link rel="stylesheet" type='text/css' href="/wp-content/themes/ubiquity/css/bootstrap/css/bootstrap.min.css">Surely these should be fine if the base URL has been set as
localhost/websitename/?Forum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: CSS not showing on localhost version of siteAh this is stange… I’ve already got the URLs set up in that way:
define( 'WP_HOME', 'http://localhost/websitename' ); define( 'WP_SITEURL', 'http://localhost/websitename' );Is there something wrong with the way I have it above? I can’t spot anything obvious!?

In reply to: CSS not showing on localhost version of siteThanks @ashfame. I’ve just done that and was able to see “I am here” π no errors on the console too. I did have to place my website name after localhost/ in the URL though (which makes sense?)…

In reply to: CSS not showing on localhost version of siteThank you @ashfame. Sorry I should have mentioned, I’m actually using a Windows PC.

In reply to: CSS not showing on localhost version of siteThank you both. Like you said @ashfame my URLs are already localhost. I’ve just checked and the files are indeed present in the directories noted in the errors. Sorry, how would I go about changing the file permissions? Would I do the whole directory? Thank you

In reply to: CSS not showing on localhost version of siteThank you for your help with this Ashfame. I actually used the Duplicator plugin (the free version) to do the migration. I had to do the 2-step install as my project was over 500MB in size. So I transferred the files manually (via FTP) and then Duplicator exported the database and prepared an installer.php for me to complete the transfer. So I basically let the plugin do all the work to be honest! I haven’t had to change any of code myself.
So sorry @tneville for not responding sooner! I’ve since resolved the issue by having our IT company change some settings on our Office 365 account! I’m not entirely sure what they changed but it fixed the problem!
Thank you for your time and efforts with this @tneville!
Unfortunately my Account tab settings are exactly as you described (and still doesn’t work). When I put the shared mailbox in the Email field (in the Message tab), I get the following error when doing a test email:
5.2.0 STOREDRV.Submission.Exception:SendAsDeniedException.MapiExceptionSendAsDenied; Failed to process message due to a permanent exception with message Cannot submit message. 0.35250:0A00E386, 1.36674:01000000, 1.61250:00000000, 1.45378:02000000, 1.44866:00000000, 1.36674:7A000000, 1.61250:00000000, 1.45378:05000000, 1.44866:00140000, 1.36674:0A000000, 1.61250:00000000, 1.45378:16000000, 1.44866:99290000, 1.36674:0E000000, 1.61250:00000000, 1.45378:B2290000, 1.44866:E2010000, 16.55847:44160000, 17.43559:0000000030020000000000000A00000000000000, 20.52176:140FCA8F1800F01F0A00C530, 20.50032:140FCA8F8817F01F07000000, 0.35180:1F000130, 255.23226:A72C0000, 255.27962:7A000000, 255.27962:0A000000, 255.27962:0E000000, 255.31418:21000000, 0.35250:1F001336, 1.36674:0A000000, 1.61250:00000000, 1.45378:02000000, 1.44866:4C000000, 1.36674:32000000, 1.61250:00000000, 1.45378:51000000, 1.44866:01000000, 16.55847:B8000000, 17.43559:00000000B0030000000000000100000000000000, 20.52176:140FCA8F180010106C000000, 20.50032:140Ah thanks so much @tneville for your help with this. Yes it seems we’re both night owls! haha
I’d be so grateful for any testing you could do! Yes, like you said, if I do my preferred set-up in the Post SMTP settings, I get an error when sending a test e-mail (or even trying it live from the frontend)
Thanks again Tim!
Ah right ok I see… the strange thing is though… we were able to set-up an alias e-mail on our Magento to send from a shared mailbox! Bit puzzled to how that worked really….!
Www the ‘reply to’ header you mentioned sounds interesting! Only thing is, would it still show the incorrect e-mail account as the ‘From Address’ on the client side?
Thanks @tneville
Unfortunately I can’t authenticate as
bob@example.comas it is a shared mailbox (and has a 2-step security verification which would interfere with the set-up) on our Office 365 organisation account (and we would have to pay extra a month to make the account work as needed). Or at least this is what I’ve understood from our IT company…Our old website sends mail from
alice@example.combut has a sending alias/email ofbob@example.comwhich displays correctly on our customers confirmation e-mails. However this was on Magento 1.9….Yes I’m pretty sure you’re right @tneville. I’ve included below the diagnostics log I obtained from the plugin. Hope it helps?
