thanks for the good criticisms… i darkened the text and increased the margins around the photos, and it does help haha! i will be working on the menu and other pages over time to get them to be more fluid with the site… right now they are but temporary stop-gap solutions until i can figure something better out ^_^
awesome, thanks for that link. I managed to make my site valid XHTML 1.0 transitional, but for some reason, I can’t get the color on the bottom to stay on the bottom of the page in firefox. Even if I took out the search div that I have, the colored strip will only go to the bottom of the content div. It will not rest along the very bottom of the browser window as it should (and does in safari… dunno about IE). Are there any suggestions as to why this doesn’t work? the css seems normal to me:
body {
background: transparent url(http://www.staticbreeze.com/i/footbg.png) repeat-x bottom;
}
can’t figure out why it won’t stay at the bottom of the browser window. any help is appreciated!
