Hi,
That sounds to me that the Nextgen Gallery isn’t executing shortcodes when used in a description.
I’d suggest you post a feature request to the Nextgen Gallery developer(s) to implement generic WordPress shortcode support for descriptions, which would allow any shortcode to be used (not only Post Snippets’ shortcodes). If you need shortcode support in Nextgen Gallery you’d probably get more accurate help posting in their support forum (feature addition or finding a workaround to enable WordPress shortcodes in that plugin).

In reply to: [Donations via PayPal] Donate button pixel widthIf the button has the wrong size, it sounds like your WordPress theme’s css might be overriding all form elements and sets a size for them. You need to add an exception for the paypal donations class in your css if that’s the case.
Btw, look here for a usage example:
https://github.com/artstorm/post-snippets/pull/1Hi,
You can disable the PHP code functionality by using the
post_snippets_php_execution_enabledfilter.
Hope this helps.Cheers,
JohanVersion 2.2.3 released. Update to that version, and you should be good to go.
Cheers!
Hi again,
I’ve tracked down why it didn’t work in Firefox. And fixed it. The fix is in the next update, coming soonish.

JohanOkay,
I’ve found out that this is something that happens in Firefox only. I’ll look into why that is.

JohanHi Ursula,
Thanks for your report.
In the latest update, I did move around some of the code relating to the html editor button. But I did not really change it, so it should work as before. Two questions.
– Have you cleared your browser’s cache?
– And if you have, which browser are you using, and I’ll see if I can get the same behaviour here.Cheers,
JohanI just released v2.2.2 that should take care of this, and have the plugin working wherever there is a wp_editor() inserted. Enjoy.
Cheers,
JohanActually,
The reason I only print out the code on the post/page/cpt pages are an optimization decision. That was implemented a long time ago. Since then WP has introduced the wp_editor() function to allow plugins to use the wp_editor wherever they want. So maybe I should remove that constraint instead, let me look into that.
The plugin checks so it’s on a post/page edit screen before outputting the code for the popup window, to not clutter where it’s not needed.
When checking the screentype, I do check so it’s for editing a post. Also when setting up CPT, that is the base screen type being registered. Maybe the CPT plugin you are using are naming it something else? Which plugin would that be?
Hi,
Thanks for the report.
I did just test it with custom post types, and it do work as expected in my tests.
How do you create the custom post type?Cheers,

In reply to: [Donations via PayPal] Adds 2ND Unwanted LinkJeff,
Checking your website I see a setup problem. You have pasted html code for a donate button in the text field of the widget. Then you have the donate button code generated below your pasted code. And the button generated by the plugins, has not been configured.
So what you need to do is to remove the html code for a donate button you have pasted into the widget, and then configure the settings for the plugin instead.
Cheers,
JohanA constant can be set in the coming update that allows users with edit_posts capability access to the snippets admin.
Hi,
In the next update (v2.2) soon to be released, I’ve made an adjustment that allows you to use
in your snippets.
