Problem solved. I deactivated all my plugins in a bulk action. I then reactivated them, one by one, testing the feed after each activation to see which plugin caused the problem. The feed started to work after the first plugin activation and continued to work until all plugins were activated.
The feed continues to work, but I still do not know which plugin caused the problem.
