In reply to: [Easy Footnotes] Extra space above the footnoteHi,
Thanks for the fast reply. The site is here: http://ass.fi/kohta/ and it happens on all the blog articles. (Well, guess it would be weird if it didn’t…)
The issue persists both while I’m logged in and out, and on desktop and mobile.
Best,
AnttiThank you! This seemed to do the trick.
Best wishes,
AnttiSure, here you go: http://ass.fi/kohta/
Best,
AnttiHi again,
I purchased the pro version and was able to get rid of the transparent grey box. Now, however, any text longer than a short sentence is on top of the image:
So, is there an option to set a width for the description or some other way of keeping the info from going on top of the photo?
Best,
AnttiHi,
Whoops, the dashed line problem was from my theme and I fixed it :). I appreciate your offer to help, though!
If I make the lightbox dimensions smaller, it doesn’t really help since it places the info right on top of the photo anyway: http://ass.fi/esimerkkiwd2.jpg
If I make it a lot bigger, it creates a different situation from the one with the full-width lightbox but it doesn’t still work as intended: http://ass.fi/esimerkkiwd3.jpg
Is there a way to keep info next to or under the photo or is it a matter of finding some optimum image dimensions and optimal lightbox size?
I’m considering buying the pro version so the possible ‘x’-button problem will vanish, then :).
Best,

In reply to: [Ignite] Getting the translations to workGreat, this worked!
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Ignite] Getting the translations to workBasically, it seems that the only thing translated to Finnish is the month name and the sidebar widgets, e.g. Latest articles (excluding Search, which is still in English). Even the date is only partially correct, since the Finnish month name is preceded by the word ‘Published’.
Maybe this helps in realizing where the problem is.

In reply to: [Ignite] Getting the translations to workHi,
The site language has been Finnish from the start – that’s why, I believe, parts of the text are already translated.
I’m not using any caching plugin yet, and cannot figure out a way to clear my site’s cache. The site displays the same when browser cache has been cleared.

Thanks a lot for your help!

In reply to: Aligning descriptions in an image galleryHi,
Thanks for the tip :). I’ll have to see if I get that far into this in the near future, since for the time being I’ve even no idea how I’d set up a child theme for (just) the post/attachment pages, if I indeed learnt to make one :).

In reply to: Aligning descriptions in an image galleryHi,
Sure! Here’s an example done with the native gallery:
http://www.luppi.fi/pikkuluppio/testipesti/
I’d like the image to be aligned to left or right, with the text going around it. Then both the image and the text would be visible with a single glance.
Here’s the one re-done quickly with NextGen:
http://www.luppi.fi/pikkuluppio/testpage2/
As you can see, the text doesn’t really work in this one either. (I also haven’t worked out how to have the image title displayed under the thumbnail. Template=caption, for example, brings out the whole description.)
This is not the actual page nor are those the images I intend to use :).
Thanks for your help,
Antti
