In reply to: portfolio slideshow disabled by WP v.4.1.4The text below is what I see in center of my home page rather than images. “ID=1978” refers to second half of May which means that correct ID is being referenced, although not displayed.
[portfolio_slideshow id=1978 width=500 height=192 speed=500 showtitles=false showcaps=false showdesc=false centered=true timeout=4000 autoplay=true showinfo=false pagerstyle=false navstyle=graphical navpos=bottom]

In reply to: portfolio slideshow disabled by WP v.4.1.4My dashboard has at bottom of page: “RentMotherNature (the name of my theme)|”Developed by PrimaThemes| Powered by WordPress”.
My plugin folder has “Slideshow Gallery” which is a customized feature of my theme. The original theme was “A flexible WooCommerce Theme from user PrimaThemes on Theme Forest”. “Slideshow Gallery” information says “You have version 1.4.5 installed. Version 1.53 available” Tribulant Slideshow gallery also has newest version =1.53. May just be a coincidence.
Thanks for asking.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: woocommerce causing errorsThanks laliz,
I temporarily set wp_debug to “true” to see & print errors. I can’t look at error.logs for some reason. My error list refers, for example, to “undefined variable: control ops in directory path …/wp-content/themes/rentmothernature/functions.php on line 35”. I have 7 of those for front end of site -2 of which -line 162 & 185- also appear in back-end dashboard (/admin).
I will look further into this.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: can't log in from WP email linkmy site is hosted on pair.com. I can access phpmyadmin there. When I type my domain name.com/cpanel I see a 404 error. Don’t know if this cpanel is part of my custom-built site’s configuration.
Thanks againForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: can't log in from WP email linkI have a list of features: media, pages, products (which allows me to edit my products), slideshows, sliders, contact, tools (export & import), RMN Admin, profile. I have some admin rights to site, although I do see the “you do not have enough permission” message sometimes. I can change products, prices, etc. I can access DB. Person who set up site is no longer around.

In reply to: mysql errorI am not knowledgeable enough to do so. The item ‘order_id’ is a legitimate field. I see that similar problems have appeared with others using v4.1.4. Am wondering if that is the cause?
My website is today displaying the mysql error when orders are placed (at checkout page) which is a related problem.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: can't log in from WP email linkThere is no sub-menu under “dashboard” (update). The WP logo has a sub-menu with “About Word Press”, Word press.org, documentation (codex main page), support forums & feedback. None of the address my need to find a one-click method of updating to wp v4.2.1. Admin page does have message re “wp4.2.1 is available >contact site administrator”, which also takes me to codex main page.

In reply to: can't log in from WP email linkMy problem is that I want to be able to update my website to version 4.2.1 by clicking the link in the wp email’s link. Otherwise, I need to manually update my website. Is that correct? Clicking on link in admin panel doesn’t do the job.

In reply to: can't log in from WP email linkIf I log into box that pops up when I click wp’s emailed link using the same id & password I use to successfully access the site [http://www.rentmothernature.com] I get the message that I “do not have enough permission to access this page”. The access settings in wp_admin/about.php are 777.

In reply to: can't log in from WP email linkHello Radices,
I can log into my site directly. The site’s url is http://www.rentmothernature.com.
My problem may be that I don’t have the correct password to access the wp email links because these emails were originally sent to the person who set up site. I changed the email address in wp_option file to my non-admin email address, where these notices are now sent.
I compounded my problems by initially creating a wp support identity with a different email address from the one where wp notices are sent. I have fixed that (as you may notice I have a different one now). Hope this gets to you.
Thanks.
