Hi
I use 1&1 Internet Ltd to host my blog and as a result of their help and support over the past 2-weeks, I now have a resolution. It’s a simplistic but effective fix. They investigated and recommended either clearing the cache of my present browser of all cookies, history etc or, using a different browser. I tried the former but problem remained. I then used Google Chrome instead of Microsoft IE and hey-presto! The problem has been sorted. I use IE for everything and it’s a hassle using another browser specifically for this issue, but at least it gives time to more fully explore the problem with IE whilst simultaneously maintaining my blog. It must be worth a try.
Kind regards, Andy
Hi
Thank you for this.
I think that’ll be a step too far for me. Do you have any ideas what may be causing this and I could check within the template?
Thanks again
Kind regards, Andy
Hi
Sorry, I really appreciate your approach to help, but I don’t know how to set up a development web site (and suspect I wouldn’t have time to do so if I did).
I also found another fault. When I choose to limit the boot strap slider to the first page, then revert it back to all pages, it just disappears. I obviously simply don’t save and publish at each stage or else my blog would be obliterated.
I’m beginning to think I’ll have to swap to another template – which would be a shame considering evolve does everything I want it to do, and I’ve spent much time & effort in development.
Thanks. Andy
Hi Denzel
The web site is http://www.andysummersbey.co.uk – but don’t think this will help because I reverted back to the previous version of my blog – I didn’t want to publish it with the new inherent problem. Basically, in boot strap slider picture space number 3, when loading up a new photo, I would have only a large square area of blue colour instead of the new image. There is no obvious reason for this to happen.
Thanks.
Kind regards, Andy
Thanks James.

In reply to: [evolve] How to remove whitespace between page title & contentHi, I also have this problem and will use this fix to see if it works. Could someone tell me whereabouts I need to insert this information within the CSS file / evolve theme settings.
Thank you.

In reply to: [evolve] Contact Form in EvolveThanks FarzamF, it’s very helpful having people like you able to provide online advice.
I have a further quick question. I want to paste-in an advertising banner at the bottom of the first page of my evolve template – how can I do this please. I guess it will to sit directly above the Theme4Press footnote. I can’t see how to achieve this within the template structure.
Thank you very much once again.

In reply to: [evolve] How to activate the Contact pageHi
I have same query. I can locate and understand the quick edit feature, but how does this relate to the information, such as location, google information etc that is configured within the contacts menu?
Thank you
Kind regards Andy
Hi Farzam
My problem is now sorted, thanks again for your help.
Kind regards, Andy
Hi Farzam
Appreciate you responding to my question, but I should explain further. I can undertake the insertion you have advised, but whereabouts do I hold the page url that I point to from the content box? Can this be created within evolve or separate within my web host. I basically want the content box to point towards a simple page with photos – my query is how and where do I create this page?
Thanks again
Kind regards, Andy
