Can I please get an advise regarding the above? Why do excerpts include button texts? How can I exclude them? Button texts are not part of the post contents, therefore it is weird to see the button texts in the excerpts. The buttons have been created with the free Elementor. Whats the best way to sort this out?

I have removed and reinstalled the plugin. Seems to be ok now.

Is it possible to change font colours? At the moment the title colour is dark and and creation date is white so it is difficult to choose background colour. Where does this widget get the colours from? From my theme?

I followed the instructions, exported data, installed the child theme, imported data and then pasted the code to the end in the functions.php. It completely broke my site. Then I pasted the code into the 1st line above everything in the functions.php but then the whole content disappeared, only the header remained. As I said, I am a beginner, not sure why this is so difficult and what I am doing wrong. May be it is better to find another more simple solution for the next/prev button. thanks anyway

I am unable to reproduce exactly what I have done so far but I try to explain. I had an old header (with the menu, search, facebook logo, subscribing bell) , which was not ready and therefore I wanted to work on it. However for some reason I could not access to the header, I was no longer allowed to edit it. Under the header there was a header image like in the screenshot below. That header image appeared automatically as soon as I selected a Featured Image within the OceanWP settings in the Dashboard.

Because I didnt have access to the old header, I decided to create a new one with the Header, Footer & Block. I didnt remove anything, the only thing I did was the new header that I saved in the templates. As soon as I created the new header, the header image disappeared. So my goal is to display the Featured image automatically as a header image because now I can do it manually. I want to achieve the same as in the above photo, which I am unable because the featured image doesnt appear automatically.

I dont know if this is the right way or not but in the meantime I went to customisation > blog> single post and as you can see below I put the Featured Image element in the top of the other elements. This resulted of showing the featured image (house) as header image but it is not in full screen mode. I want that house image to appear automatically in the same format as the skyscraper image. (the skyscraper image has been selected manually for the purpose of this explanation, it is not the featured image)
