…eh, sorry. I realized that I had actually just installed one plugin – WPML – and yes, deactivating that solved the problem. Guess the commenter had switched to another language than the default, and then left the comment, or something like that.
thanks for responding, but the problem is I haven’t been able to reproduce the error yet – and I don’t want to be messing around with the plugins etc on my live blog (it has multiple users and some important activity going on). Comments seem to be working fine except for these two particular ones. And yes they are marked as approved in the database. It’s kind of mysterious to me.

My solution was to replace this with the “simple facebook connect” plugin, which also gives a share button. It works much better, but not flawlessly. But it does fix the problem in this thread.
