turns out this is a known issue – downloaded updated file.
noelzia’s error message refers to the wp-admin on his local ‘c’ drive – it should be your copy on your remote server you should be pointing to.

Thanks – my database is on my host (Go Daddy) site – I mentioned the firewall as I read in a previous post that they can cause this error. I have checked the database name and username with Go Daddy. They confirmed that the username and database they create are always the same value (in this case, sql_violethour).
