I am not sure if I should feel stupid now.

But the lack of a URL in that field does seem to be the problem.

I am sure that this did not affect the display of the episodes before, as they were all up and then they vanished up to the time point when I stopped filling that URL field. Perhaps you changed something? But no matter I shall go back and fill the field as it now seems to be a requirement.

    Hello

    Thank you for your advice.

I got my hosting provider to run a data base repair. This has not changed anything. The data is all there in my media library but is not appearing on my site. I have run a test and this problem is unique to the podcasts, other posts display as they should.
I have been checking some other podcast plugins. I do not want to change as I am happy with your product, but one thing I noted on the other plugins was a recommendation to restrict the feed size. I cannot find this feature on your plugin. Could it be that my feed size is too large? Forgive me if this all is a little vague but I am a bit of a ham at this online radio thing…

    Hi Hugh

After posting this, I checked on Firefox and IE, where the feed showed up as it should. Just when I follow the link on Google the whole document tree comes up. From your reply I am guessing it does not do that when you follow the link. Possibly the problem is somewhere in my Google set up, which is of course not your problem.

The other part of the question was where the podcasts are stored.

They default to the blog archive, where the social media links are lost. I thought they should be under a category/series and the webpage would show the heading – Series My Year of Beds – like this http://www.ajahnel.com/category/writing/art-writing/ for example. With all the social links active. I think your plugin uses SERIES in the same way as Posts uses CATEGORIES, but it does not reflect on the website.

While the category SERIES show in POSTS the Podcasts do not, so I cannot allocate the Podcasts to the SERIES category via POSTS. Good grief I am confusing myself here. Is there a step I am missing?

    Thanks for the prompt response
