And verify that you are not redefining tags in the post itself if you use generals openGraph settings.
You can’t mix settings.Wich version of the plugin do you have ? You are talking about the general form ? or in editor post ?

Did you set the value for Image ? %POST_IMAGE% ?
Until you use this pattern in the image field the plugin do not know what image you want to use.%POST_IMAGE% is a shortcut for featured image.

The plugin need the 3.3 of wordpress.You must set your FB admin ID too.
The error message does not say it, but he should.And verify that your are using the 0.9.9.3 for the moment.
You must resave all your settings.
This is an important update to increase the loading time.From Now, The plugin need to use the api of facebook to be able to get some informations so you must have created an application on facebook.
Read the wiki, there is a link where you can create an application on facebook. This application will give you an app ID, and a secret app Key. Or you can acces it here: https://developers.facebook.com
And for your Facebook Admin ID, you can make a search on google “how to find my facebook ID.”
Note that it’s really not recommended to use the like button as standalone. you must use openGrah, Facebook API and Like button to be more viral and to be able to get feedback and statistiques form Facebook.

You must FIRST activate Facebook connect and you must be facebook connected on your site. Then you clicking on the button will reload the page, and reload the data associated (pages list etc…)
Then select pages you want the plugin will publish on in the List menu and save settings
Then In editor you can manage if you want to publish or not.
You can upgrade to 0.9.9.3
