In reply to: Multisite install (subfolders) not showing new sitesAdditionally, my folder located at /wp-content/blogs.dir is mysteriously empty.
And I also have another wp-content folder that has been created (not by me), this one at /wp-content/wp-content; it cannot be opened for some reason. It is CHMODed 0755 like the other folders and I am the owner, same as on the other folders.

In reply to: Database issue? Only one simple theme works.I did that through the WP remove plugin page and received an error on three of the plugins:
Plugin could not be deleted due to an error: Could not fully remove the plugin(s) admin-management-xtended/admin-management-xtended.php, akismet/akismet.php, category-access/category-access.php
However, they no longer appear in my plugins folder.
And…. bingo! You were right, it was one of my plugins causing it, because now the other themes are working. Now it’s just a matter of reinstalling the plugins one at a time to figure out which one was the culprit.
And I was so sure this was going to be an enormous database problem. 😉
Thank you, mmuro.

In reply to: Database issue? Only one simple theme works.I have 21 themes loaded on my site. All worked before loading my database. Now, only two work — Hemingway and HemingwayEx. I’m currently running HemingwayEx.

In reply to: Most uploaded themes not working — showing up blankI’ve done a clean install several times and have finally realized the error is taking place at an interesting time. If I just install WordPress, I can then load any theme I want onto it. Then if I try and upload my backed up WP file, it breaks the themes. In fact, the only themes that now work are two Hemingway ones; everything else comes up blank.
When I try to use widgets with HemingwayEx, the theme breaks. Therefore, I think the problem has to do with something in my database (which is 6MB) not being compatible with widgets.
Any ideas? Anyone really strong with WP perhaps willing to take this problem on as a paying gig? I’d love to get this issue fixed for good.

In reply to: Most uploaded themes not working — showing up blankUnfortunately, again, this is not the error I’m having. I’m looking at my directory listing right now via cPanel’s File Manager and it shows no duplicate directories.
Does anyone else have any ideas at all? I realize others have had similar problems and have all been able to fix this in other ways, but mine has not been resolved with those fixes at all.

In reply to: Most uploaded themes not working — showing up blankThanks for the input! Unfortunately, it doesn’t help my situation, mostly because none of the folders or file names within /wp-content/themes have any hyphens or other punctuation within the names.
I’m hopeful there’s something else out there that will do the trick.

Thanks a bunch for your help, podz.

In reply to: 404 error when attempting to leave commentsI know the form action bit is there. What I don’t know is what include file that is coming from so that I can change that path. Any ideas? ‘Cause the WP install is in /wordpress, not in /.
And I have absolutely no idea where the commented out tags are coming from, who put them there, what they are, etc. I’m trying to not disturb her stuff, just fix her commenting problem. I’ll ask her and see if she knows.
