In reply to: [Independent Publisher] Background not showing?W00t for solving one’s own problems. For whatever reason, I needed to append the below to my extra css. Now it works.
Essentially, I needed an explicit direct link to my background. No idea why, but it works.

To center your titles, head to your dashboard
1. Go to Appearance –> Edit CSS
2. Paste the below after the last “*/”h1{ text-align: center}
This basically applies a “center alignment” to every h1 header on your page.

First off, fantastic theme.
But just to follow up on the OP’s question, how would I also remove the “Write a Comment” button as well. Looks like the solution you provided only hides the comments, but not the button itself.
