Hey @fshequin, thank you for bringing this up. It is still an active issue and I can only say I’m really sorry it’s not fixed yet 😐 I’ll be releasing an update that fixes this in a few days.

I’ll post an update here as well. Not in 11 months, in a few days – I promise.

@kilozwo: I couldn’t reproduce the problem on my own computers, but that doesn’t mean a thing, unfortunately. It all depends on your server configuration.

I’ll see if I can remove the need for a HTML5 parser and post an update by weekend.

I know that File Gallery’s development is moving very slowly, but I’m just one guy with very little spare time, so I thank you for your patience and understanding :/

@elliot Toman: could you please tell me which version of WordPress are you using, and which theme?

I’ve just tried it out locally with WP 3.8 and Twenty Fourteen theme and I can’t reproduce the bug.

I used your code to create the custom post type, then created a new slideshow image post, clicked on “set featured image”, uploaded an image and selected it as featured.

@picturgency: File Gallery would not cause the type of problem you are describing.

Could you post a screenshot so I can see what’s going on?

Which theme are you using?

@nskv: the site File Gallery crashes on, is it using the Twenty Eleven theme?

I just tested it locally on a multisite install with Twenty Eleven and everything works just fine :/

Could you tell me what’s your hosting company?

Hi Lindsay,

until WP version 3.5, the plugin had to register the menu by itself (which File Gallery does), but now, WordPress does it automatically, so there’s two items instead of just one.

I’ll release a new version of the plugin tonight, which fixes this and many other issues.
