  • Hey graffitikings, as this is a premium theme, your best option is to submit this issue to the developer, they will surely have a solution or a new version to offer.

    Hi,
I am not quite sure the matter is with the permalink system. Indeed the permalinks are appearing correctly when browsing through your website.

and for the home page, did you assign a specific page as the home page? If yes what is this page’s title?
    moreover, what is your theme?

Finally, I like your work a lot, could you have a look at Foils and contact me to see if you could do something for an office room.

    Thanks

    Hi,

well you have two main solutions for this matter. First one is to intall a new WordPress in the new environment, then apply the former theme to this new wordpress and finally import the data through the dashboard.

Another good clean and faster method is : to copy files, copy database(through phpmyadmin for example) and then to modify files and database accordingly.

A strong procedure is detailed here in the codex:
    Moving WordPress

Don’t hesitate to google these kinds of things that are usually widely covered. Be sure though to go for a strong backup before trying anything.

    Hi emjaybiz,

Maybe you can cut your losses for now. If you have been copying files including many url troubles, problems are likely to keep coming.

I would clearly recommend to :

1/ delete every single file on the ftp
    2/ delete the database
    3/ create a new database
4/ follow the installation steps of wordpress
5/ export the content from the previous website
6/ in the new website, import the content.

You should be then working on clean basis.

Hi brianj42, I can only concur to the previous answers and also add you can rely on 1&1 support team to give you help. They are usually very easy to contact.
Installing several WordPress websites is not that hard from the 1&1 panel. Still, you have to address a few issues correctly: folders, database and domain.

1/ Be sure to create a separate folder in your ftp ( /newsite) or even better an extra ftp account.

    2/ create a new database

3/ purchase a new domain name from your 1&1 panel and be sure to link it to the appropriate folder

4/ finally follow the usual WordPress installation process.

It really is intuitive in the 1&1 panel to find “database”, “domain”, “ftp” and then you should find the parameters.

Best of luck and good aging 🙂
