Thank you all for your comments. It’s still very much a work-in-progress, but I feel comfortable enough with the design to begin posting.

dermarki: I chose subdued colors to help the reader focus on the text. I will be posting photos from time to time to add a little color and spice. Otherwise, I didn’t want to site to be too distracting.

well, I had used the path WP supplied after I uploaded the image – which was absolute. And it’s funny, because I can get my header image to show up in all 3 browsers. WhenI uploaded a pitcure of myself for the About page, it only rendered in Safari. I’ve since taken it down until I come up with a solution for all 3.
