Thanks for all the help. I never would have expected my site to get hacked, but this article put me on the right track.

There was an eval code sitting in the main index.php file. I got rid of it and it seems to have gotten back to normal.
There is no white space in either.
I had it installed locally, nothing was on a web server. I do have a full backup copy of the WP install though. I am hoping there is some way to get the DB from there, but I have a feeling I won’t be able to.
