    Hi Sayna,

    Thank you for reaching out.

It can definitely be confusing when a plugin seems to be active but isn’t listed on the main Plugins page.

This often happens because some theme developers choose to bundle Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) directly within their theme’s code. In these cases, ACF isn’t installed as a separate plugin but is an integral part of the theme itself. This is why you wouldn’t see it listed under “Plugins” and cannot deactivate or delete it in the usual way.

Because it’s part of the theme, the best course of action is to contact the support team for your specific WordPress theme. They will be able to confirm if ACF is bundled and advise you on whether it can be safely removed without breaking the theme’s functionality, as many themes rely heavily on ACF for their features.

    Hi Jamie,

Thank you for reaching out and reporting this.

It sounds like there might be some confusion between the main “Public” setting and the settings that specifically control visibility within your WordPress admin area. The “Public” toggle primarily affects whether the post type is visible on the front end and included in standard queries.

The visibility of the post type in the admin menu on the left is usually controlled by separate settings like “Show UI” or “Show in menu,” often found under the “Advanced Settings” tab when editing the post type in ACF. Please double-check those settings to ensure they are configured as you intend.

If you’ve checked those settings and the behavior still seems incorrect, or if the label description is causing confusion, we’d be happy to investigate this further. Could you please create a ticket using our support form?

    Hi Costin,

Thank you for reaching out to us, and apologies for the delayed response.

Yes, you can and should safely delete the free version of ACF. You are correct that the PRO version automatically deactivates it.

ACF PRO is a complete plugin that includes all the features of the free version, plus all the premium features. The deactivated free version is no longer needed and can be safely removed to keep your site’s plugins tidy and avoid any potential confusion in the future.

    Best regards,
    Patroba.

    Hi @piranhaost,

Thank you for reaching out for assistance.

It sounds like you need to customize the way the address data from the ACF Google Map field is displayed on your page.

The Google Map field returns a complete address array, which includes the country by default. To display only specific parts of the address like the street, zip code, and city, you will need to use a small PHP code snippet in your theme’s template file to format the output. This involves accessing the specific values you want from the array and then printing them in your desired order.

Because providing the exact code is a custom development task and depends on your theme’s specific setup, we’d be happy to investigate this further and provide a more tailored code example. Hi @lahorimela,

Thank you for reaching out for assistance.

It sounds like you’re encountering a common logic issue with how ACF’s location rules are structured. Based on your screenshot, the problem is likely in how the “OR” and “AND” conditions are combined. Because all of your “Post Category” rules are joined by “OR,” the entire group will be true if any one of those categories is present, which may cause the final “Post Type is not Page” rule to not behave as you expect.

We’d be happy to investigate this further. Could you please create a ticket using our support form? This will allow us to take a closer look and assist you more effectively.

    Hi @shcheng,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Since you have an old ACF version, I would recommend you first try a gradual update in a test environment first. Ideally, directly updating to the latest version may break your site. Therefore, kindly clone your site to a test environment the try a gradual update( for example from 5.3.10 to 5.4 to 5.4.5 to 5.5.0 and so on) while testing every functionality in your setup.
Once successful, you can proceed to make the gradual update in your production environment while also testing everything out.
This will ensure that you correct any errors that may arise before upgrading the production environment.

If you face any difficulties along the way, please feel free to create a ticket using our support form and we can look into it further.

    Kind regards,
    Patroba.

    Hi @buxykay,

Thank you for reaching out for assistance.

It sounds like you’re running into an issue where the post data isn’t being saved correctly. This is a frustrating problem, and it’s almost caused by one of two things: a conflict with another plugin or your theme, or a server configuration limit being reached.

Because a definitive solution requires a closer look at your site’s unique plugins and server environment, we would love to help you investigate this further. Please can you create a ticket using our support form, and our team can provide more direct assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Hi @tefon,

Thank you for reaching out for assistance.

It sounds like this functionality for linking “Services” and “Specialties” was built and configured by your theme developer using ACF as a framework.

    Hi @bardinellis,

Thank you for reaching out for assistance and for providing the detailed error log.

It sounds like you’re encountering a PHP dependency conflict. The error message you’ve shared indicates that another plugin or your theme is loading an older version of the Composer autoloader library, which then conflicts with the version ACF requires, causing the fatal error.

Please can you create a ticket using our support form and we can look into it further.
